.. . . But you won't understand my desires yesterday-LOL

Yesterday, Jim and I went to the Lobster Festival in Rockland, Maine (

55th year of it ) and while waiting to get to the Maine Lobster tent, I

wanted:

Steamers, mussels, clam chowder, fresh-cut French Fries, Sweet potato

Fries,

Scallops, shrimp etc, etc, Every food was calling me!

People in line were eating lobster rolls while waiting. The line was

moving quickly, but it was like a gaunlet with food concessions all around

this moving line to the lobster tent.

I thought, hummm~what would have I done pre-sx and you know at that

instant I felt better and was grateful that I had just enough room in the

pouch for a lobster . . .a small lobster out of shell is just about right. .

..and the rest of the food didn't bother me!

We walked the harbor waterfront and found the lobster sculptures

artists had designed for the celebration etc. and had a great day!

Good for you, Elaine. I know what you mean about the festivals. All that food

and suddenly I want it all. You did a good job. Thanks for letting Mom know

just how good those lobsters were, too! She loves to hear about seafood! <VBG>

Food is NOT my friend. It tried to kill me. So, I naturally h ave to eat it, and

I still enjoy certain ones, but boy, I keep a respectful distance, usually!

So, you are simply putting your " destructive friend " at arm's length and filling

in with " good friends " .

Probably when I was little. My parents loved all that gross stuff. They fed it

to me as if it was the same as FOOD.

Exactly, they have to be well adorned to be yummy. Shrimp scampi is also to

die for!!

-- Re: whining . . .a little . . .at the Maine Lobster Festival

You just have to know how to eat shrimp. You get the butterfly ones

and have them battered and fried. Peel and eat is not real shrimp.
