It is strictly a personal choice if you want to do this. That being said, You subtract the fiber from the total carbs on your lable and that leaves the carbs that you count. If your interested you should buy the protien power book. Guest guest
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a while back, somebody organized and collected money ($800+) from all over the world from low carbers to do an independent test on the whole wheat tortillas, branacrips, and WASA crackers and here is what they found out. I'm sure this is a YMMV thing but if you eat the tortillas and experience a stall or decrease in weight loss you might want to give them up and see if that's what's causing it! ----Each tortilla has (8)eight effective (net) gms of carbohydrate. Serving size 1 tortilla (37g) servings per container 10 ------------------------------ Calories: 80 Total Carbohydrate: 15 grams Dietary Fiber: 7 grams Sugars: 0 grams ------------------------------ (1) La Tortilla Factory [LTF] tortillas MAY have triple the carbs shown on their label. Tests show: 15 gm total carbohydrates / 7 gm dietary fiber per tortilla (2) El Galindo tortillas SEEM to duplicate the carb counting error. (3) Wasa Fiber-Rye Crispbread appear accurate. 7 gm total carbohydrate / 3 gm dietary fiber per serving (4) Bran-A-Crisp Fiber Bread appear accurate. 13 gm total carbohydrate / 6 gm dietary fiber per serving It's not a very good thing when the label lies to us, is it?! Anyhow, just wanted to share. 244/225/140 6/11/

Guest guest
- we had someone mention this, but when I asked for documentation on it they could not furnish anything. These are sold nationwide in grocery stores and I dont see how they can be lying about it. I would be very interested in knowing where you heard about this testing and where I could obtain a copy of the results. Thanks Mollie
