Guest guest
Well that is good that you are switching to a new OB and do not worry just try to stay off your feet as much as possible. EASIER SAID THAN DONE. All will be okay. God has us this far and I am putting my trust in him. Although it is scary but like you said We are pregnant and that is the best news ever. Hang in there and God bless. LOL ELLY
Guest guest
Thanks Elly! Any news yet on your results? It feels so good to get a new doctor. I haven't even met him but a labor and delivery nurse at our local hospital says he is the best around and everyone says his bedside manner is fabulous. And his office is only a few minutes from me...what was i thinking going 45-60 minutes away only to get less service and attention. I will still deliver at a Hospital with a Neonatal center. I don't want to risk anything. I hope your results are good and stay off your feet too! LOL
Guest guest
Hi .. wow, sounds just like my last pregnancy though i am sure yours will turn out much better.. my palcenta was very low , near cervix which is what they thought was causing all my bleeding episodes which started around 12 weeks.. my bleeding stopped and at 16 weeks bedrest lifted to light activity.. well then all hell broke loose.. however, when i was in hopsital with miscarriage( 19.5 weeks) the u/s showed that the placenta HAD MOVED UP FUTHER AND WAS NOT LOW ANYMORE... SO THIS CAN HAPPEND WITH ASHERMANS.. I HAD VERY BAD AND THIN LINING AND IT HAPPEND TO ME.. my miscarriage at that time was from infection i think from all the bleeding,, so just watch for a tender ab area and get all that checked constantly.. and urine test.. have them follow up if there is any sign of something growing,, mine was not followed up .. had something growing but not enough for antibitioc.. ughhhhh.. then they did not do repeat soon en ough i guess... so with this you should be fine,, but stay in bed and d o not do a thing,, i wish ya luck,, sounds liek you are in great care !!!!!! If i knew then what i know now i may not have lost my baby.. so i am happy toshare this with you so you and your baby will stay safe!!!!! You are doing everything right so just hang in there.. i know bedrest is tough!!!! keep us posted as usual ++++ thoughts, Janet
Guest guest
Sorry to but in but I was always told that rest is the best for implantation. This was told to me by the IVF doctor. I rested since I did the transfer and when I found out I was pregnant. The other doctors who did the tranfers before always told me to go on with everyday life and I went through two cycles without getting pregnant. THis last one told me it is important to rest then I was referred to the OB/gyn. I am now 24 weeks still on bedrest. Before yesterday I used to take a walk here and there but nothing major. Take care of yourself and God bless you. Elly
Guest guest
Hi Janet, Good to hear from you. How is your sister doing? Have you done an ultrasound yet? Your words are taken very seriously here. This is why I am so glad to change docs. I am so afraid that their laize faire attitude will miss something. I am constantly feeling my abdomen and feeling for soreness. Nothing so far. I am also aware that fevers are bad, and I have nothing yet. My immune system has always been pretty good and I drink lots of Vitamin C juices and eat oranges. So, I am hopeful, but worried too. My sister-in-law lost their baby at 21 weeks and they found an infection too. It was like you, misdiagnosed and probably preventable. So, I am on heightened awareness...thanks! I have a question if you don't mind me asking? Why did they need to do urine tests on you? Did you have a bladder infection? Is this a way to check for infection in the uterus, or was it a precaution because sometimes bladder infections cause miscarriages? I had a urine test the first time I went into ER. It was negative. How do they check for infection in the uterus? Do they culture your vagina? At my next visit should I ask for a culture just to be safe? Or is this infection in the amniotic sac and can't be diagnosed other then by a fever or abdominal soreness? Also, you said you had previa and it resolved by 16 weeks/ Wow, maybe I do have hope that this resolves! How much did you bleed between 12 and 16 weeks. The entire time or jus tone episode. My worst bleed was 14 hours long with 9 hours of contractions and I lost between 1 cup and 1 pint of blood. Anyway, I feel pretty good today. I will continue with what i am doing...I can't wait for 32 weeks to come! Take care and let me know how your baby is doing!

Guest guest
Hi, Is this Kathleen? I didn't see you sign your name. Anyway, I would take it easy until 10-12 weeks. Until the placenta has embedded properly and has taken over producing progesterone completely. This happens at 10 weeks...and by 12 weeks the placenta is usually pretty stable. No, I wouldn't recommend bedrest for all Asherman's patients unless you have a reason for it, like hemorrhaging or a very thin lining to begin with or if you still have scar tissue. If you have an unstable environment for a placenta and it is bleeding, then bedrest is the best thing. In your situation, (since you may still have some scar tissue right?), I would take it very easy until 12 weeks. Then get lots of ultrasounds to characterize your placenta and baby. Dr. Katz recommends bedrest because of my poor lining, the placenta previa and because I had episodes of bleeding. Take good care and i wish your little bean all the muscle he or she needs to fight this battle! ,Thanks for this update. I have been waiting to see what your dr had to say.I asked my RE today, during the us, if the placenta moves during pregnancy. He said no. I think Dr. Katz's explanation of the fact it may just not be real visible early on makes a lot of sense. I don't know how these dr's can tell what is what on the us's anyway! It really is amazing.I am also interested in the fact he feels bed rest helps to improve 'the health of the implantation.' My dr's have all been telling me nothing will give me better odds right now. Only prayers. Is Katz telling you this because you have previa or did you get the impression he believes that rest is important with all AS patients? Not that I want to be on bed rest but if it helps the chance of my peanut growing, I'll do it. I have been taking it easy. Not exercising, resting when I get home from work and being in bed by 8:30 or 9. My 3 year old is literally staying up past me! He is tucking me in at night! God bless him! Thanks!
