Guest guest
Hi Val, We thought that I might have cleared my receptors about a week and a half ago because of hyper symptoms on 175mcg SRT3 but I am still not having any improvements in my symptoms. At this time I lowered the T3 a bit but found that my temps fell and I felt even worse so I have held at the 175 dose. I would think that if the receptors had cleared that I would have made a little more progress by now. I am now into week 12 of no T4 and my RT3 was <17 seven weeks ago. I am still taking cortisol in the morning and noon. I don't seem to need it in the afternoon. My temps do come up in the afternoon and I do average close to 98.6 but I am still having trouble getting my basal temps up in the morning. They are still low every morning. Does it sound like I still need more HC? To refresh your memory I did have trouble with rapid weight gain when I was taking 25-30mgs of HC so I backed off. I am taking 10am/10noon of HC. I am still holding at 175mcgs of SRT3. I did get my ferritin up and have remained on iron supplements. My B-12 and Vit D levels have also increased. I would say that I have a little more energy but not much else has changed. Fatigue, hair loss, weight gain, dry skin and terrible joint, neck and back pain. I just can't figure out why it's taking so long. I'm trying to continue to hang in but my patience is running low. I want to go back on Armour so bad but I think that it is still too soon. I can't help but think that my T3 is pooling and needs something extra to break through. Any thoughts or suggestions?? Thanks.
Guest guest
WELL 10+10 dosing is NOT good. That owers your ACTH where yuo are bound ot be runign very low in cortils by AM and opossbly during the night as well. Split thta up before tryingot go higher. I would try 7.5-5-5--2.5 wiht the last at bedtime. Guest guest
Ok, thank you. I will give this a try. My only problem is that I only have SRHC capsules and the lowest that I have is 5mg. Do you think that I could substitute the additional with Isocort? If so, how many pellets would equal the additional 2.5mg that I would need? If this is not feasible I suppose I could try the HC cream. Which one do you think would be best? I do know what you mean about my dosing schedule. It is really lacking. Sounds like this might help considerably. Thanks! Subject: Re: Hi Val, any thoughts? To: RT3_T3 Date: Monday, June 15, 2009, 1:34 PM WELL 10+10 dosing is NOT good. Guest guest
Morning Val, I changed my cortisol amount and dosing schedule as you suggested. I am now having more problems with the same joint and bone pains. Still have horrible back and neck pain. This morning I woke with my outer ankles very sore and I'm having a difficult time even walking. There are days that I just wake up with the weirdest pains usually in my feet or my elbows. Should I go up in my SRT3 again? I few weeks back we thought that I might have cleared the receptors but the Hyper symptoms have now calmed down. I know that I have to be getting close with such a high dosage but nothing is changing. If I do increase again, where should I add the dose? Currently taking 50/50/50/25. > > Hi Val, > > We thought that I might have cleared my receptors about a week and a half ago because of hyper symptoms on 175mcg SRT3 but I am still not having any improvements in my symptoms. Guest guest
are your adrebnals well supported? This can be form hypo or low cortisol so I hate to tell you to keep going higher iwht HC unless oyur adrenals are WELL supported. Guest guest
I am taking 10/10/5/5 so I think that they are well supported. I was taking only 10am/10noon. I tried to cut back on my noon dose but my temps would fall so I remained on the 10mg. I added the 5mg at 4pm and then at bedtime. All I have at the moment are 5mg SRHC. I am waiting for my Isocort to come in. I think that the 5mg at bedtime is too much. I have had trouble going to sleep the last few nights taking the 5mg but I just didn't have any more Isocort so I figured it was better than none. The extra HC would not cause these pains would it?? My temps are always low in the morning. Basal temp today was 97.33. As the day goes on my temps will rise to 98.6 in the afternoon and remain through the early evening. Then they start to head back down. My noon temps are usually around 97.9. - Subject: Re: Re: Hi Val, any thoughts? To: RT3_T3 Date: Saturday, June 20, 2009, 10:34 AM are your adrebnals well supported? Guest guest
Unlikly usually more HC would cause less pains.
