Hi all,

I started reading everybody's postings about 3 weeks ago and had an

appointment with a top doc and received Armour Thyroid a few days

ago. I have only been taking this minimal dosage of 30mg per day but

already see a big improvement. My free T3 was low so I am pretty sure

even though I was taking synthroid for years, I wasn't getting what I

needed. I feel so different already. I am still on Synthroid, 150mcg

too.

My question is has anyone had initial side effects of flatulence

(gas) and does this go away or do you take something for it? I hope

so, it's not so pleasant. If you use alternative herbal treatments,

do any interfere with the armour thyroid supplements?

Thanks to everyone for all of your information, my daughter (20 years

old) is now starting Synthroid (feels more energy already) and my

mother (70's) is going to see a top doc (for brain fog, insomnia and

lack of energy) in Greenville, SC as a result of all of your help.

My sister (54 years old) has had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and

now they are saying she has allergies (celiac disease).she feels

terrible. Her son has had ADD issues and my top doc related that

psychiatrists send their ADD kids to her for thyroid supplements

instead of ritalin treatments. I am trying to talk her into checking

it out.

So here is a whole hypothyroid family you have all helped. Bless you

one and all!
