Guest guest Posted May 16, 2000 Report Share Posted May 16, 2000 Neil, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling so crappy, but honestly, if you're feeling that bad, I would consider not going to the meeting, and talk with your Dr about getting more fluid intake etc...This is just an opinion, please don't take offense. Dawn LMH meeting Hi all... Annie C. is going to pick me up and bring me to the meeting tomorrow (Wed) night. I hope I will be up to it. I have been feeling very weak and very dehydrated the last week. I have been having trouble with things backing up, so Dr. Cabot put me back on all clear liquids for a few days. I feel a little better, but the depression over not being able to drink as much as I used to has been making me ill emotionally and, I believe, physically as well. I apologize if I seem slow or unresponsive at the meeting. Guest guest Posted May 18, 2000 Report Share Posted May 18, 2000 Hi Gang What a great meeting last nite. We had a speaker, a phsychologist who deals with eating disorders. She is going to be running a class in conjunction with Dr. Randall. It will deal with body image and eating issues. As she put it, losing weight is just one part of our problem. After losing weight we have to deal with the issues that will be uncovered now that caused us to eat this way to begin with. I for one don't want old habits to come creeping back. It is 2 courses of 10 weeks each. They are $250 for each 10 week course, which is half price from other hospitals she works in. It sounds very interesting. Also for Carla, Lyssa and others who couldn't make it. Blabber mouth was put in her place, you missed it, it was great. First at one point Diane loudly told her to be quiet and pay attention. Then a little while later, while Dr. Randall was answering questions, she raised her hand and Dr. R. said " what!!! " just like he was answering a whiney kid (or hubby, lol) who has been tugging at your housecoat all day driving ya nuts. It was great. Alot of people at the meeting have asked about when we are having another get together, seems we all miss each other after a while. Let's try to come up with something soon. The $$ is due up front, not monthly installments. I want to start saving my pennies now, as I think this will be very interesting. Guest guest Posted July 20, 2000 Report Share Posted July 20, 2000 Hey Lyssa, Went well. They had an instructor in to talk about water aerobics/exercise program thing coming to different areas. They had a woman speak who has lost 150 lbs., changed her life around w/exercise, motivation etc...there were a couple weird people, but loudmouth woman wasn't there, although Jo spotted a woman with pink hair! They place was packed, we had fun, went to dinner in the cafe (had some nasty soup). Annie, Jo, Norma, Neil, and CHRISTINE (blast from the past) as well as a couple others on the list (forgot the names...sorry!) were there as well as RUSS!
