Ashermans on TV last night...

Hello ladies,

Last night I managed to catch my favorite show, amidst all the chaos

going on in the US. I needed to do something that I normally would

have done, because I was out of my mind with sadness yesterday.

So I watched 'Cold Feet', a Brit show that I absolutely love.

Someone from the UK mentioned it once before, because one of the

characters was going to get Asherman's. I had been watching the show

prior to that post, so I watched for it. I finally saw this episode

last night. Although I was glad they wrote it in, there were a

couple of things that I didn't like about it.

- She was still having periods. And although I know this can be the

case, especially on this show because they have been ttc and were

unsuccessful, I guess I was hoping it would show some signs of her

having it (depleting period).

- She had partial Ashermans " an extremely rare condition " , but was

told that there was almost no chance that she would ever conceive.

She left the doctors office looking like she had just died, because

she would never have children. There was a brief mention that

surgery may help, but highly unlikely due to the damaged uterus. I

just felt like it was telling women around the world, if you have

Ashermans, full blown or not, just give up there is no chance.

I did like the fact that they told her how she got it. She had had

an abortion earlier in the season, and they explained it was from the

D & C that she had during that procedure.

I just thought I would share, and hope that some of you caught this.

It was just exciting to see it mentioned on TV.
