They're not that bad, and do work well for distal/descending ulcerative

colitis. They do NOT work well if the transverse and/or ascending colon is

involved. They're not really enemas, but they're called retention enemas

(totally absorbed if you can wait a couple of hours). It's MUCH better than

systemic prednisone - only delivered where it's needed. The delivery is

about what you'd expect - only about 4-6 ounces, however :0)
