I just wanted to thank Hannah's mom for this handout. I gave one to

our Family Dr. at our 6 month appt. today. He and his nurse didn't

have clue when I came in and asked for a referral for MacKenzie. They

both said, " Oh, she has tort " and I told them, " No, she has plagio " .

They responded " Oh, it's the same thing " - um, NO, it's not. So I

printed your page out yesterday and brought it in today. They both

read it and he took it with him when he left the room. Hopefully,

this will help out other people when they bring their babies in to

see him. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this and thanks to

everyone here for all I learn everyday!

OMG that is so scary that they didn't even know. Thank you for

educating them.

,

It is scary when you have to educate your doctor, isn't it?! I'm SO

glad that you found Hannah's handout helpful and I hope your doctor

reads it and passes it along! I tried hard to get something that

had all the necessary info on it, but fit on one page to make it

reader friendly for people who wouldn't take the time to read

something longer (like doctors!). Our pediatrician has them in her

office and I gave them to our local Early Intervention office as

well as other pedi offices. I also kept them in her diaper bag for

when someone asked me for more info about her helmet. You are more

than welcome to change around the handout for your baby's story.
