Guest guest
Hi , It was great to see you on Sunday and great to meet your daughter. I hope you had a nice walk...I took the easy way out and didn't leave my post at the registration table. You mentioned getting a second opinion from an adult hep. vs a pediatric hep. I just wanted you to know that when we chose that route for Todd we were thrilled with the team that took on his care. But Todd did have 3 specialists seeing him...not just one hep. He saw Dr. Slivka (GI biliary specialist), Dr. Reguerro (GI Crohns specialist), and also Dr. Chopra (hep.). Dr. Slivka was very knowledgable on PSC and has quite a few PSC patients. Todd saw Dr. Slivka regularly until he started having liver problems, in which at that time he felt Todd needed to be under Dr. Chopra's care. They were all wonderful and all 3 of them worked together with their specialties in Todd's care. There was never a time when Todd was having problems that all 3 weren't consulted on his care. Unfortunately, as you know...Dr. Chopra has left to go to Mayo-Arizona. Todd just recently had his 1 yr crohns check-up with Dr. Reguerro and he was thrilled with his progress. It was great to hear him say...keep it up and we will see you next year. When Todd saw Dr. Harpavat at Children's she was a GI fellow at the time...is that still the case? Hope to see you soon. Joanne (mom of Todd, 19, psc 12/01, crohns 1/02, tx twice 12/03 and living life to the fullest in 05) Since Suzanne is 16 I chose the adult hep (and this is the same office that took such wonderful care of Joanne's son Todd).
