Guest guest
Pounding heart ios MOST often from hypo. but can also be from low ferritin as that will preven6t your body using the T3 no matter how much you are taking. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Val will have the correct info for you but I want to tell you my experience. I was taking 75mcg 3 times a day also. Because I was having high pulse and pounding heart I thought I would reduce so I started taking 12.5, I think it was 4 times a day.....things got worse. I had chest pain, fast pulse and fatigued. So, I talked to Val about what to do and she gave me a schedule for increasing (you should be able to find it in the posts) Wednesday, I started back on 75mcg and added 5mcg to my first morning dose which I will be increasing weekly. I am feeling MUCH better. Not sure this is what you should do but this is what worked for me. Also, my temps are finally going up and I have lost 3#!!!! Venizia > > Wow, this is crazy. I am on 75mcg of cytomel, been stuck there awhile because of ferritin, electrolytes. I have been taking 25mcg, 3x's per day. I've been having chest pain, pounding etc., (also while on armour) which I think is electrolytes still. So, yesterday, I decided to spread it out to 12.5mcg 6x's per day. Now, I am more hypoT. spreading it out and heart problems aren't better, maybe worse. I always have more numbness in fingers, teeth pain, brain fog, when hypoT. and it's worse today. Sheesh, you'd think that spreading the dose out would help my heart relax, nope. Maybe my heavy heart beating is hypoT. Any thoughts? >
Guest guest
That's what it seems like. I took 5mgHC stress dose 40minutes ago and no effect. I am on 1 1/2 tabs of florinef and 3800mg potassium already. I've been having iron shots and hopefully get results on Monday but for some reason, I don't think it's that either. It's always better in the morning and progressively gets worse. I hope it's hypoT. Thank you > > Pounding heart ios MOST often from hypo. but can also be from low > ferritin as that will preven6t your body using the T3 no matter how much > you are taking. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
Guest guest
That's great to hear. Glad you're doing better. I definitely feel more hypoT. and so maybe the heart pounding is just that. I guess we'll see... thanks. -- In RT3_T3 , " venizia1948 " wrote: > > Val will have the correct info for you but I want to tell you my experience. > > I was taking 75mcg 3 times a day also. Guest guest
I'm confused about this. I under heart pounding would be low thryoid but heart racing too??? Isn't it always, if you have a high pulse you might be on to much meds?? I just raised my HC from 27.5-30. Had a temp drop the next day plus ankles swelling, the next day a drop in pulse. Okay, all that points to low thyroid from using more because of the increase of HC. That all makes sense. Now however 4 days after the HC raise my pulse is up by about 10 points. That's where I'm lost. First I went more hypo and now not? How would increasing T3 fix this higher pulse the way venizia described it below. Is it the more HC that raising the pulse and the raise of the T3 will counter act this? Talk about confused. > > > > Wow, this is crazy. Guest guest
I cannot explain my results but I have been logging them and I see it daily. I do have unusual circumstances with the sulfite sensitivity and THAT raising my pulse also. So maybe watching my sulfites intake could make the difference but I am not convinced that it is just watching the sulfites because I also feel much less fatigue, I have lost 3#, I am sleeping MUCH better and I do not look puffy. I tried HC last summer and did awful on it my bp went thru the roof. As soon as I stopped it, I saw improvement in Bp. We are all different and how one reacts may not be the same for others. I hope you can find what works for you. Venizia > > > > > > Wow, this is crazy. I am on 75mcg of cytomel, been stuck there awhile because of ferritin, electrolytes. Guest guest
Have you checked your estradiol levels? I might be wrong but I think a racing heart can be from too little estrogen
