You'll need to back this up with some research, but I believe I've heard of

sweet oil for this. Just an idea . . . I don't have time to pursue it, but

you might consider a Google search for " sweet oil " +earache, or something

like that.

Mr. XXXX presents today for evaluation of a two to three day

history of a tenderness on the left side of his scalp above the ear.

There has also been some left ear pain. There has been no ear trauma

or head trauma. There has been no ear drainage. There has been no

tinnitus or decreased hearing. There has been no recent nasal

congestion. He states that he has applied ____(s/l sweederal) into

the left ear yesterday and has woke up this morning with no ear pain

or left side scalp tenderness.
