About the meld score I have been keeping up to date by reading the emails and looking up information. I would really love to be a part of helping change the meld score,But is there anything I can do at the age of 16 and in South Africa, cause I really want to help in anyway I can!! Thanks Hope you have a great weekend! Guest guest
and I had our 3 month tx anniversary yesterday. We had to go to see the surgeons. The CT scans show that both of our livers are great. The dr said estimating they look full sized. It will be a week or so until the radiologist to give the official read. I was told it would be 6 months until I was completely normal. I told the dr except for needing 8 hours sleep a night instead of 5 I am back. She said that I had trained myself to sleep 5 hours and I could do it again or sleep like normal people. I have started walking at the school track an hour every night to tone up and feel fine. The breathing problems I had are gone. Needless to say I am a big cheerleader for living donor. Guest guest
Dear Marti and , A big congratulations on your anniversary and on your quick recovery. You must both be thrilled to be doing so well and to have your lives back!!! You give all of us PSCers a lot of confidence in the future. Guest guest
Terri, Congrats on the improvement in health! I also think it's wonderful that you'll be traveling to Israel, how wonderful!!! You go and have a great time and spend as little time as possible thinking about PSC! As far as changing the MELD score, I don't know if there is anything you can do or not, but you are soooo sweet for asking! Now, go enjoy life and pack for your trip! :-) (MO)
Guest guest
Marti, I think that is wonderful! It seems God has blessed both you and in your recoveries! You are the poster perfect example of living donor transplants. (Maybe we should get a picture of you and and create a poster. :-)) You have been so encouraging, thanks for sharing all that you do.
