Guest guest
HI Dusty I know in the USA we have a product called SILVADENE (I think it's prescription) which is the same as what they mentioned using in that article. I used it once on a really bad burn on my leg and it's good for that and I suppose might be for the vaginal area as it's to promote healing and protect from infections... Just be sure one isn't allergic to sulfur. Here's some info on it. Silver sulfadiazine cream 1% ABBR: SSD. An antibacterial medication, commonly applied as a topical cream on burns, to promote wound healing and prevent infections with germs such as Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. sulfadiazine A diazine derivative of sulfanilimide. It is used to treat skin infections, esp. those caused by burns, and toxoplasmosis, because it readily crosses the blood-brain barrier. A truncal, pruritic rash is a common side effect. Like other sulfur drugs, sulfadiazine carries a small but important risk of causing s- syndrome. "Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary," As to the other med used, Silcaine? I couldn't find anything on that quickly, but sounds like maybe it's got the 'silver' in it ?? (like the above does) and maybe a lidocaine or some type of 'caine' numbing agent? Dee~
