Guest guest
Thanks anyway, I will try to see if I can find something written on it. No I do not take HC. But I think I am also going to drop the extra 5mcg I would add to my night time 25mcg and see if that makes a difference. Although, my waking pulse is never a problem. For now I will keep the extra 5mcg with my morning dose. But gosh, my temps are doing so well, I am consistently going up. What do you think Val? Guest guest
Yeah, I am curious about Val's opinion on that, too. I may have to do the same. One more thought, if you take anything like an antidepressant with norepinephrine inducing properties that could raise your pulse. I am actually on an AD and I am considering trying to cut it back a little. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: venizia1948 <nelsonck@> > > > > > > Subject: this is getting crazy > > > > > > To: RT3_T3 > > > > > > Date: Wednesday, June 17, 2009, 2:39 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > So now at 3:00pm, not even having taken my afternoon T3 and the last time I took it was at 6:45am this morning my pulse is 108!!!!! > > > > > > > > > > > > I did go in today to get my sodium and potassium checked glad I did not have to wait until next week to get in. > > > > > > > > > > > > If I had that many hours between doses, would you think it is NOT the T3 causing the high pulse. Guest guest
Val, Thanks so much. This is helpful. I have been menopausal since 2001. I need to find out after all these years, would symptoms pop up again. I cut out the 5mcg at last night and this morning I did not take my 5mcg with the 25mcg. I am going to see what happens with my pulse in the next couple of days doing that. Do you think for now that is the way to go? My temps yesterday were: Took 30 mcg of cytomel 7:45am - 97.3 pulse 77 8:00am - 97.8 pulse 90 Took 25 mcg of cytomel 3:00pm - 98.5 pulse 108 Took 25 mcg of cytomel around 8:00pm 9:00pm - 97.9 pulse 103 My average for the day is 97.9 My averages have been consistently going up with the highest being 98.0 also ranges have been within 2, 3, 4 tenths difference. Hope this helps you to help me. Guest guest
Is it possible that when I lost an ovary and most of symptoms began that my adrenal went south having to work harder due to that procedure? Also once I got further into peri/meno I had worsening thyroid symptoms. And then when I started low doses of bio HRT it seems my thyroid symptoms got even worse. I have also had other surgeries over the years. And now that I think of it after having my appendix out in 2007 I seem to have gone further downhill with the thyroid. Maybe my adrenals were already sluggish prior to the appendix surgery and now I'm just a mess???
Guest guest
A very interesting observation. In 2004 I also had one of my ovaries removed and I have to say shortly after that is when my problems got worse. I but on 25# in 4 months and a whole lot of other problems. Guest guest
Val I have dumb question. Do you think if estrogen supplementation makes you feel better/relieves symptoms, that means you need it? Of course one must go by the blood tests, but even so, Is it that simple? Or can estro make you feel better but it is still bad for you? > > I think doctors go by the old ONE big test that was done MANY years ago > with premarin and synthetic progesterone. Guest guest
The thing about estriol is that due to its weakness, you need a lot more of it to get your symptoms to go away. In my opinion estriol is different, it has different mechanisms and does different stuff to your body than estradiol. For me it helps my vascular inflammation issues, but only at large doses. It helps some MS patient at those doses, and might help other autoimmune diseases. I don't think estradiol does that stuff. When you do take large doses of estriol I think you then have to worry about uterine buold up issues just like with estradiol. I am trying to find out as much as I can on estriol because it has worked wonders for me but I am paranoid about being on it and being pre-meno... > > You're kidding! Guest guest
Speaking of sore boobs..I have noticed that mine have been sore for a couple of months. I am only on T-3 and HC, no other hormones. I get those tough ,stray hairs on my chin. What could be converting to excess estrogen or androgens? I am overweight and had heard that fat cells make/hold excess estrogen? Thanks!
