Guest guest
OK here is a question. Do they antibodies ever go away? What happens when they thyroid is gone, do the antibodies die as well or do they start attacking something else? Just thinking about that. Guest guest
Well, unless someone else here has some info new here, frankly, that is a very big question among all of us right now. I think that noone really knows that at this point. I wish we were seeing more innovative reasearch on that. My ancient Merck Manual way back in '87 said that they destroyed the thyroid rapidly and then the problem was " over with " , other than lifelong thyroid med treatment, but history knows better than that now for sure. Look at me------I've had hypothyroidism for at least 11 yrs now, and the hyper part was before that, I don't know how long, and the antibodies are very numerous in me right now, so that certainly disproves THAT supposition. Antibodies? OK here is a question. Do they antibodies ever go away? What happens when they thyroid is gone, do the antibodies die as well or do they start attacking something else? Just thinking about that.
