Zig,

Are you using the Estrace for HRT replacement? And using it intravaginally and not topically? I'm confused a bit with the new members as to who's who, or what's what, forgive me. LOL But if you're using it to restore tissue, you can take it very slow, I sure did and have been well now for 4 yrs. In fact when I first started I could only use the Estrace cream every 3rd or 4th night, and then would let things ''simmer down'' as it really irritated me as well.

But I'd always return to it knowing it was feeding and nourishing that tissue no matter how little I used it (even if it was once a week) or I'd think of it as a starving man who has to fed slowly. So don't think that you have to use it as often as I noticed in your post if that's what you're using it for rather than HRT. and I totally agree with you about Dr. Willems and his amt that he uses, NO WAY.... he doesn't realize the pain some of us can be in.

Anyway please don't do that!! don't feel you have to suffer or make yourself a victim again. LISTEN TO THE BODY it knows.

It probably took me two plus months till I could use it every other night, and another month or two to using it 'almost' every night. It can really take time to rebuild that tissue but after six months or so I was fully restored. For those who can use it nightly that's great, but we're all in different stages as well, and some it doesn't irritate at all. I was like raw hamburger meat, air or water burned me so don't think that you 'must' use it that often ok? It'll still work.

Or else as Lynn suggested get it compounded without those irritating base ingredients, me? I suffered through it with the Estrace but it did work. Just took time and not forcing things or thinking 'more is better'. *sigh*

Lynn I just feel so bad for you with those other problems you just mentioned and they sure all sound hormonal to me. *sigh* I just hate to see what you might go through using the Prometrium 10 days a month *sigh*... and for such a low dosage of E, seems to me you could skip 3-4 months and then add it, but believe me I'm NOT telling you to do that, just what I'd do and have done with recent studies I've read about and I do know some physicians and newer studies are suggesting adding the P only every 3 months and with NO proliferation of the uterus. Jeeeze what we women have to go through, so sorry hon. Good luck with the new regimen.

Hugs to all

Dee~
