Guest guest
((Janice)) Why did they say it would take that long? I do taxes for other people in my family and e-file them and we have always gotten them within the 10-16 days it says after they have accepted the return. Sorry you are getting the run around. I am sooo disappointed Ladies, I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am right now. I had made plans trusting our lovely government (being sarcastic here). I trusted that when they say e-file with direct deposit gets your return in 10 days, I believed them. Well, I have found out that they don't always do that. Now it is looking like it will be 3 weeks, maybe. I am soooo tired of this. The date for TR that we planned will likely not work now. I had trusted that the IRS would do what they say. Geesh how stupid of me!! I can't think of anyone that would loan me this kinda of money, even for a short term. What a bunch of bull!! Guest guest
That is the same program I use and yes, THe IRS only sends in direct deposits on Fridays as far as I know. Your sons was processed sooner just by dumb luck and his may have been more straight forward than yours. Guest guest
I hate it when they tell you or promise you one thing and then it never happens that way. Not about taxes though, but I am having the same sort of problem with the surgeons office on my 2 yr old DD. For the past 2 weeks I have been calling and I think I'm getting the run around on her referral. One person will say so and so is handleing referral and will call be back that day...then no call. I call again..same thing a different person tells me some other gal is handling it and I will get message that we want a rush on it and she will call you back today...and again no call. I'm getting fed up and disappointed. They say one thing and not do what they say. I even called and left message yesterday for them to call me back that day...and no call again. I'm PO'd big time!!!! I sympathize with you, even though our situations are different. Tracie > Ladies, I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am right now. Guest guest
Same principal. Doesn't matter if the situations are different. Guest guest
Hi , I do not understand this! I'll tell ya what the deal is though. We e-filed through TurboTax with direct deposit. Because we do not use credit cards the only way to pay for the use of TurboTax was to have the fees taken out of the refund. That is done by having this bank Santa Barbara Bank and Trust to have the money deposited in an acct. there and then forward the remaining amount to us. Much like a RAL except they wait for the return to come. Our return was accepted on the 20th and the expected date of funds was the 31st. Our son whom I filed the same way on the 18th was accepted on the 18th and his funds will be available today. I wrote to that bank and they said they only received a small amount of the refunds that were expected to come. Said ours would likely not be available now until the 7th of Feb. It almost sounds like the IRS only releases funds once a week???? Today is day 11 and I was hoping that we might see the money the first of the week but according to these folks that won't happen. Do you know anything about that sort of timing situation??? Any information would be helpful!! Thanks, Janice I am sooo disappointed Ladies, I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am right now. I had made plans trusting our lovely government (being sarcastic here). Guest guest
-Janice, I am sorry - I know you are disappointed. Nothing is going to make you feel better - except the money but know that you are not having to postpone forever - maybe just a few weeks! Keep praying you never know! Again sorry for the disappointment! Guest guest
-- Hi Tracie, Sorry about the dr. off. - are they located in your home town? I know exactly what you mean -can't tell you how many times I have had to go to the office and nicely but firmly tell them what I want! It really is ridiculous how lax some of them can be. I worked in a pediatric clinic for 10 years, you have to be sympathetic and prompt when you are dealing with someones child. Good luck! Guest guest
Janice I am so sorry! I could tell you some stories about how the IRS has screwed with my refund!!! The best one was when they wouldn't give me my refund because they said I had to prove I had custody of my children the entire year because they should me as being incarcerated!!! It turned out there was an inmate in Tallahassee using my SS#!! 7 months later I got my refund! I pray that you will get yours much sooner. > Ladies, I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am right now. I had made plans trusting our lovely government (being sarcastic here). Guest guest
Oh, my gosh!! I have only had one refund disaster several years ago. Was after I had changed my name on my SS #. I didn't get my refund until Sept. I will personally hurt them if they mess up my refund!! Right now the IRS says it has been accepted and is being processed. For whatever that is worth!! I did this e-file/direct deposit for the benefit of getting it back quickly without the excessive fees associated with Rapid Refund loans. So much for that plan!
