Just a thought, but PECS does not require pointing, but physically handing a

picture to someone. It is quite useful in facilitating communication until

speech " catches " up, if it does.

Many times it jumpstarts speech, once success is established.

I am aware of this. Pointing, handing, signing, etc... none have been

successful yet. I didn't say we were giving up, just said that we

haven't been successful yet. We're still trying.
