The T3 in Armour has a life of 8 hours (supposedly), that's why they say

splitting the dose is better, So I take my morning dose around 7 and my

afternoon dose around 1 or 1:30 or 2:00. some folks take it later than that.

But I also read that since you need the thyroid hormone more during the day

early on..you should take 2/3 of it in the AM and 1/3 in the afternoon. I

actually started just taking it in the morning...and then as my dose went up, I

added the afternoon dose.

i keep mine up in the cabinet...away from sunlight. As long as you're going

to be using it fairly soon that should be fine..or even on the

counter...otherwise, refrigerate to help it retain potency since it is a

glandular product.

which reminds me - are they ok on my counter? or do I need to refridgerate them?

she may or may not add on another dose. Right now, she thought I should take 50

mg, but ordered 30's which = 60, and said to just split in half - a 30 in the

morning and a 30 in the afternoon. From what everyone says, I'm anticipating

having to increase the dossage. Even though I was only on 50 mcg of synthroid.
