Guest guest
Janie, Chemicals of all kinds are so deadly. Most of us just have no idea. Most of them are not or barely tested for long term effects. Yet, our gov. agencies continue to approve them. My youngest brother, 47, died two years ago from using benzene. He was diagnosed in Jan. with lung cancer and was dead the end of April. It was that aggressive. He was a chemist and mud engineer and they just had no idea at the time he was using it that it was that toxic. No damn long term studies. But this country would grind to a hault without the big business of medicine and pharmaceuticals. Hope I don't step on anyones toes but I am understandably skeptical. They did chemo on my brother when they knew there was no hope at all and it made him so sick. I DO NO TRUST ANY OF THEM. We are our own best physician. Off the soapbox!! Deborah P.S. I tested allergic to DDT and one other pesticide/chemical. Re: Maybe we should be testing for pesticide levels in our blood! So ironic that you bring this up, Bev, because I had just posted in the NTH Coffeehouse that I was concerned about the pesticide level in coffee. Coffee is one of the top 5 foods with high levels!! Several months ago, we switched to organic coffee, which uses less or no pesticides. We ought to stay with this topic. Janie
Guest guest
OH! a friend of mine is having a very serious health problem now. They believe it goes back to 20 years ago when he worked with benzene. They tried to test his bone marrow, and it is all fibrous - not good.... Guest guest
I live 20-30 miles from Dow Chemical, Tx Division. Benzene has been known for it's destruction for a long time now. They all DID know, during the last 20 yrs or so, maybe more. Coverups. Re: Re: Maybe we should be testing for pesticide levels in our blood! Guest guest
this poor man - he worked in the steel mills and was exposed to benzene. then in a sewage treatment facility, and exposed to other chemicals. He's been in bad health for years. about 9 years ago, they gave him 5 years to live at most. and ...this is making me think..again! LOL - my dad had very young alzheimers. I mentioned that I wondered if it could have been thyroid related. His family has a History of alzhemers, but at an older age. and even when he died, and we had his brain autopsey'd, the alzheimers showed up, but near as bad as it should have for as bad as he was. He worked in a steel mill since he was 17 - with exceptions of when he went in the military - served in WWII and the Korean war - so he could have been exposed there - even in experimental tests thru our own government - Just after he died, there was a class action law suit from the steel mill - he didn't qualify because they needed lung tissue, and we hadn't had that autopsied. But it was about chemical damage - really makes me think. Cris Re: Re: Maybe we should be testing for pesticide levels in our blood! I live 20-30 miles from Dow Chemical, Tx Division.
