Guest guest
Well I saw my doctor on Friday 24th. I was told the good news was that I have an open cavity and my minor adhesion were fixed. BUT my lining is still 1mm and she thinks that it has been damaged to deep. She told me that she doesn't think the follicles or cells will regenerate. I'm trying 8 mg a day for 2 weeks then follow up with with Primulut N. Seeing her on 5th October. I asked her to give me her professional opinion, would I have children again and she said no i don't thinks so because I have not responded to any estrogen treatment, she said to give the hormone treatment one last shot. My husband and I have decided to try to put a closer to this as the disappointment is too much - it has been a long 2.5 to 3 years finally finding what is wrong. We are the lucky ones with a child, but as everyone knows it is still hard to except. Maybe a miracle may happens and my lining grows this treatment? Any advise Re- regeneration of lining??? Thanks again for advise and interest Looking forward to any advise on my situation ---------- > >To: <Ashermans > >Subject: Carol/ - specialists appt >Date: Sun, 26 Aug 2001 20:12:44 +0300 > > Carol/, > You were both going to see a specialist sometime this week. Guest guest
Oh , I am so sorry to hear this about your lining. But there still maybe some hope. What time of the month did you have your ultrasound done? Was it midcycle? You probably don't know because you have been on estrogen. Mine was only a couple mm after my surgery even on estrogen. I remember Dr. Indman saying that my lining was VERY thin. But, with FSH hormones my lining did go up to 6mm which was enough to get me pregnant with IVF twice. Don't lose hope yet, because there maybe ways to improve your lining. Sometimes certain things do work for some women. But, also, remember that sometimes nothing works too. I have a child too. But, this did not help me in my acceptance of not having another. I still mourned very profoundly for my future unborn child. So, i feel for you at this time. I have been there. I went through the ropes of hiring a surrogate agency and was very close to using one until I decided to try myself. I hope that this increased dose of estrogen works....but it is nothing compared to the estrogen that is produced with the stimulating hormones with IVF. So, you still have some options. Also, there are some women who have had positive responses to other treatments. I myself went to an acupuncturist to improve the blood flow to my uterus. Others have tried herbs, hot castor oil packs, viagra, trental (this didn't work for me), and Prozac or Zoloft. Anyway, it is too soon to give up hope yet. I will hope that your ultrasound goes better in 2 weeks. Take care until then.
Guest guest
Thanks for your advise and support. I'm not sure what my cycles are because it has been nearly three years without one spot of blood or period. I know I'm ovulating as my last ultrasound 2 weeks ago, showed that I ovulated from my left ovary-so im not sure maybe mid - to late cycle? since they could tell what ovary, the egg came from 14-20 days??With all this treatment I couldn't be sure.
