Patti:

You should probably expect Mike's " numbers " to jump all over the

place for a while, especially in response to almost-daily changes in

his meds. That's just normal right now. As difficult as it will be,

try your best to step back and keep the big picture in mind: your

husband is getting healthy. On the basis of your posts, I believe

Mike is making terrific progress (Wow--already out of ICU and

starting walk-abouts!), especially when you consider the massive

trauma his body has experienced the last few days. What the

patient's spouse goes through is often overlooked and

underappreciated, and to do it from hundreds of miles away is simply

beyond my capacity to understand. I think I'm probably speaking for

all the members of this group when I say I'm in awe of your strength

and faithfulness. Just keep hanging on. May you be able to join Mike

very soon at the transplant center.

Rich and everybody...

my trip to London may be one step closer- the girls from work came to my house this afternoon with an envelope signed with well wishes from co-workers at the hospital, and over $1,000 inside....how do you ever say thank you to people, it's beyond words.....
