A New Repositioning/Plagio Prevention Product

Hey everyone!Just as I was broken free from Plagiocephaly, lol, I've been pulled back in! A couple weeks ago, my daughter's (who is now 4.5 yrs old) Pediatric Neurosurgeon contacted me, and left me a message to return his call saying he was working on some plagiocephaly material. He has known how involved with this group and plagiocephaly awareness I have been for years now. I have sent him plenty of plagio literature over the years since Abby's diagnosis.

We finally spoke just a bit ago over the phone, and he told me of a new prevention/repositioning product he has designed. He recently returned from an AAP meeting presenting this product. I will be going to his office next week Thursday to personally take a look at this item to see firsthand how it works and will share my "review" of it with the group. He has done case studies on his "sleep shaper" for some time now and is confident this will really reduce the number of plagiocephaly IF used early and consistently. Here is a link to the product with more detailed information if you're interested. I'll also add this link to our "repositioning" links section.

To be honest i'm not sure if my child would like to be strapped down while

sleeping. That'd be my only concern with the product. Not sure if anyone

else feels the same. I'm glad to hear that people are working on things to

prevent plagio!

Hi Debbie! I am very, VERY impressed with the sleep shaper!! wow! I definitely think it should be used the first 8 weeks at least, if not longer. I wish I had something like that available when we found out Cameron had a flatness at 8 weeks of age.

Keep us posted!
