Guest guest
Kathy, I couldn't agree with you more about Disney. We went to Disney world for kind of a family thing (us, my parents, my sis and her daughter with CF, my other sis, and even ron's family met us there for a few days) just 10 days after was diagnosed with CF (and a month after was diagnosed) Of course, it was already planned, and it was a trip we did on our own......but it was markedly different than the trip to Disney we took the year before (before CF....). Our whole perspective was different..... I took all the pics, cut them, and made frames (the large poster, with the plastic coverings) for each kid of their disney trips and hung them ontheir walls.....that way they can touch, etc and no problem....they still love them (I also decorated them with disney stickers, etc.....its kind of collage like) Its fun to see them to this day being soooo happy.... We keep thinking we need to do Disney again, since Mallory was just a baby when we last went. We had a trip planned and reservations, etc for winter of 98/99, but Mallory ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks, and also thats when the Cepacia/ not cepacia thing happened with so he had home Ivs, so we had to cancel...... Guess we better start saving our nickels! Glad you all had a great time! Take care, Jen
Guest guest
Kathy B.- So glad to hear that your Disney trip was wonderful. We are supposed to go next Fall for my hubby's family reunion. I'm not really excited about it because they are not planners and I am. I think it's basically pointless to have a reunion at Disney. Isn't a reunion to get together and catch up with family? Not drag everyone around waiting in lines at an amusement park. Any way -- now that I've whined to you...What did you like the best? Where would you suggest taking the younger kids? Mine are 6 & 3. We have never been before as a family. I have gone with my family and with Joe before kids. It was before a lot of the parks existed. How much could you really do in a day. How exhausted did Felicia get? Was it really humid? How did her treatments go? Do you have the Vest? Do you think that the Fall would be a better time to go? Would we be able to get a pass for her not to wait in lines? Where did you stay? Did you see any of the other accommodations? Where did you eat? I have so many questions. I really would much rather just go to the beach, but hey, that wouldn't be too fun for the kids. Let me know your honest opinion. Hugs, Kathy G. Guest guest
I'm getting really jealous with all this talk about Disney World or Land, whatever. I want to go (I'm whining.) I'm glad that a lot of you have been able to go and have a good time. We're planning to go when is two, so I only have one more year to wait it out. Guest guest
Hey Jen! That is a wonderful idea! I was thinking about what I could do with all of the second set of prints! NOW I KNOW! All of the characters autographed her big sign they picked us up from the airport with. I was having that framed, so now I gotta do what you did to make it all complete! Well...I will tell you that we spent well at $1000 in souvenirs and picture development and stuff like that...so yep...all the nickels need to be saved and counted! Take care and thanks for writing!
