Guest guest
Has anyone heard anything from Jeannie lately? Last I read she was home on bedrest. If anyone knows anything please update or Jeannie if you are able let us know how you are doing. I loved the goal list, I too share many of the same goals. In addition to all those goals I would love to learn how to rollerblade and ice-skate, hard tasks when you are large as the center of gravity is off - if anyone is willing to teach me to rollerblade let me know, and I think a horse-back riding outing would be awesome!!!! Kim, glad you are home and feeling better, sorry you have been in pain. If there is anything I can do please let me know, I work in Plymouth so I'm close by. Neil, glad to hear things are getting better. I am so envious that you can go swimming, that is something I am soooo... looking forward to, I really thoght I would be back in the water by now but my wound infection is taking time to heal, oh well I still have the water to look forward to. Congratulations on your amazing weight loss. Jo, glad to see you have resurfaced. I thought for a while that maybe alzheimers had taken hold and you'd forgotten us or that you had lost your computer privileges at the retirement home!!!!! (only kidding!) Dawn,You go girl - If I was you I would be a spaz maniac too!!!! see you next Wednesday? Annie, looking forward to hearing from you soon!! Everyone, Keep up the good work - you guys are the best. Guest guest
Toni, I used to love roller-blading, but due to my discomfort, I haven't done it for almost 3 years. I really want to get back into it. When we're both feeling better, we should get a group together!. Also, count me in on horseback riding!!! - Alice A.

Guest guest
, Like I wrote to Toni, I'm hoping to get back on my rollerblades this summer. We can certainly meet up, and I will try to teach as best I can. It usually comes naturally to people. The hardest part to learn is the stopping... lol. But after one concussion, I learned how to stop like a pro! - Alice A.

Guest guest
Jo, In reference to Kim's post, pads and helmets are a MUST. I learned that the hard way before I knew how to stop, and ended up in the ER. Anyway, there are lots of places that rent gear, and in my opinion, parks or bike paths are the best places to learn. While you're learning to stop, it's nice to be able to run off into some grass if you panick. Memorial Drive in Boston is closed every Sunday for bikes and rollerblades, so that may be an option. If you know of any long smooth paths elsewhere, please suggest! Again, it will be several weeks before I'm up to this, I think - Alice A. Guest guest
Alice I will take you up on that offer too. We should try to make our fall get together at a picnic someplace where there is also room to try and rollerblade. does anybody know if that roller skating rink is still on route 1 and do they have rollerblading? Guest guest
Roller World on Rte 1? If that is the place you are talking about then, yes, they are still open. It is right behind the Honey Ham store. They do allow rollerblading, but they must first inspect your blades to make sure they are the kind that are allowed. Also, they rent out rollerblades for 3.00/pair Hope this is helpful. Ring Re: Digest Number 315 Alice I will take you up on that offer too.
