Guest guest Posted May 31, 2000 Report Share Posted May 31, 2000 Hey Lyssa, I was a cub scout den mother and just loved it. Brings back memories when you talk about girl scouts!! I am now oficially depressed. I can't find a place in Ogunquit fro this saturday night. Everything is booked or you have to stay 2 nights. We just wanted to get away, just the 2 of us to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. Should have thought about it earlier I know. Middle son (26) and his girl are always at home so we wanted to be alone. I'm going to try York but I don't know much about York or Ogunquit for that matter. Will settle for anyplace now. Want a nice, romantic setting. A B & B or Hotel whatever. I don't know how far it is from you but tis a really nive place. I don't think that many places will be booked right now. It is normally very slow before school gets out. You really can't go wrong in york anyway, so whereever you stay will be wonderful. Have a great time, and be sure to go to Nubble Light and take some pictures. (Nubble Light is the most photographed/painted Light House in the World!!! so I have heard). Also, if you go to short sands and walk around what is known as " The Center " (ask anyone, they will know what it is) if you follow Shore Drive (the road that is on the shore) North, you will hit " the Center " . There are some lovely quant little shops that you might like to visit. And be sure to pick up a York Maine Sweatshirt!! (a must!)
