LOL tell me about it!!! oh my!!

I don't have it now - but when he 1st put that gold onlay in my mouth to test

it, it zapped me the entire way to my toes!!!!!

he told me it was an electric current from the gold. didn't happen again. and

it's next to another gold one - don't recall having that problem with it.

I think that I broke both teeth - ate a piece of red licorace that was stale -

an it crunched. weeks later, eating a piece of bread, the tooth broke off. then

the top one hurt - and he found it is cracked. Dentist wants to let the top one

sit for a while though....I'm ready to have it fixed. it hurts worse than the

one that was broken off!! the way the tooth broke, gold was the answer, as it

could be molded better around the remaining tooth and into the gum tissue.

I'm glad we have insurance!!!

Gold Crowns and Mercury Amalgams

Hi Cris,

Sounds like you and I are having similar issues with our teeth. I too have

to have a gold crown put on a back molar which cracked because the amalgam

filling expanded and broke the tooth. Catch is, I still have some amalgam

fillings on the top of my mouth and I have read that when you mix metals in

your mouth it sets up a galvanic (slight electric current) that can be very

disturbing to some people and their health. Since I already have thyroid and

adrenal issues the last thing I want to do is to add another stressor so I

am considering getting the rest of the mercury amalgams removed before

getting the gold crown. Right now I have a temporary crown on that tooth.

All of this with no insurance medical or dental!

That is why I am asking all these questions about mercury etc:-))

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

I also need to have a bunch of dental work done. My mouth is full of

amalgam fillings. I've already had several replaced a few years ago

and I'm wondering if maybe the work I had done caused my

hypothyroidism? I guess I'll never know the answer to that one. I'm

kind of afraid to have the remainder of the dental work done because

I'm concerned about getting sick again. I guess I can ask my N.D.

about it and see what he advises. Its funny what you said about

having mixed metals in the mouth causing electrical currents. I have

one gold crown in my mouth along with the amalgams and I haven't

experienced any electrical activity! Interesting to read about,

though.

there has to be something to it - because when it happened in the dentists

office,he knew right away what happened. once it was in, it hasn't happened

since. It was just the first touching of it In my mouth to the tooth. I can ask

him more about it - how it happens etc.

Our bodies are made up of nothing BUT electrical activity! Add some metal and

we're a walking electrical wire. If I'd only known this when I had all those

fillings put in my mouth. We make great electrical conductors! Aggghhh!!!
