Guest guest
My daughter Emma is going to be casted tomorrow for her DOC band, but suddenly I'm worried that we are rushing into this! She is 4 1/2 months old, has been treated for torticollis for 8 weeks, and is responding nicely, but her plagio is still apparant (to us) despite all of our repositioning. Enough friends & family have now told me " why would you do that? " and " she's perfect " and " did you get a 2nd opinion " that i'm second guessing my & my husband's decision. She has a standard deviation of 2.55 and insurance will cover most of it, but i'm suddenly thinking that it will fix itself...? Am I crazy, and just getting cold feet, or should we rethink the banding? I want to do what is best for her, but don't want to get involved in unnecessary treatments.
