Penny,

I did a regular slice of American cheese for 45 seconds and it came out

crispy.

Penny --

I haven't had wonderful luck with this recipe, either. Here's what I do: On

a cookie sheet (usually I cover it with foil; I'm so lazy...) I make several

little piles of shredded cheese.

I pop the cookie sheet into the oven, preheated to 500 degrees.

Bake for 4 minutes.

Hope this helps.
