IMHO, although I would love to see you and hear your WLS story, you need to put yourself first and take care of yourself! I'm sure we'll be fine without you. We'll have enough to talk about. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon! Maybe you just need to slow down and relax a bit (which I'm sure is easier said than done with 2 kids). Just don't feel guilty if you have to cancel tomorrow. Dawn The things I did lol Well I had a good time in Ottawa although I will seriously rethink going for only 2 nights with 2 kids and getting so little sleep. My husband stayed home because of the dogs .. we didn't have any $$ to board them so we could all go. I ended up bringing my youngest with me so I'd have peace of mind about her .. and then my older child wanted to come too .. I had a lot of fun .. I even got a tattoo! I can't remember if I said that already if I did forgive me. It didn't hurt and its on my left shoulder of a colorful hummingbird darting into a flower. I really like it. That was my 100 lb loss reward. Unfortunately I " m sick AGAIN .. I really hope its not because of the surgery. I've had more colds and flus that ever before in my life .. now I " m fighting another bad cold and it feels like I have pressure on my chest. I'm supposed to be in Newton tomorrow morning to talk to a group of preops .. ugh! Its not that I don't want to go but right now I feel like crap. The first one was a tiny tiny little scorpion on my right ankle that I did at 15 to freak out my folks LOL .. this one is about 2" long on my shoulder in color. No it doesn't hurt. I jokingly told my mother it was a new weight loss method .. you know like a patch or acupuncture. LOL! She believed me for about a NY minute hee hee. Last weekend when I was down I told her I was getting one and she didn't think I was being serious till I came back with it .. luckily she is still talking to me. I think she must think I'm odd lol out of the 3 kids I'm the only one that likes to do stuff like that. Lyssa PS Steph saw mine today and touched it & commented on it being " bumpy " I meant to say that is normal during the healing process and I have to put some polysporin (sp) on it .. I remember my ankle one got a bit crusty years ago I don't think I creamed it up enough so I'm being careful with this one. I didnt do it this morning because I didn't want it to go on my clothes. I just expected it to be smooth, and I was surprised at how it felt. Once again, after WLS I'll need surgery to extract my foot from my mouth. By the way, thanks for coming to speak at our pre-op meeting. It was very nice of you especially where you haven't been feeling great. You look so awesome and are such an inspiration! Oh yeah, Sally measured me and I am EXACTLY 5'5. She thought I should shoot for 125 plus or minus 10 lbs. Well, I don't have to worry about that now. I still think 150 would be good for me. She also told me that they had a cancellation for next Friday, June 8th, so I might have my surgery then. I still need the OK from my gastroenterologist who ran some tests today. I would be so excited to do this next week. I am ready! Anyway, your tattoo looks very colorful and pretty, and I'm sorry if I insulted you. See you Thursday night.
