OK we went and saw the PICC line nurse, tonight....and is

getting to stay up late (yep, its midnight!) drinking ensure plus and

hopefully that way he really will be effected by the sedation.....crossing

fingers.

Anyway, she of course remembered me from Mallory.....so everything went ok

tonight and isn't the least bit worried or nervous.... gosh I only

hope I can get up early enough to get him there by 8:30, heheeh

,

I don't know what to tell ya.....I HATE it when other people act like me or

any other Mom is possibly exaggerating, imagining, or overreacting to the

kids symptoms..... that is so irritating! We haven't had that problem with

and Mallory too much...if anything other people are usually over

reacting or we have gotten so used to whatever the symptom that we don't

freak about it til other people react. But when Mallory was a baby it used

to drive me nuts that I would tell Ron that something isn't right and he'd

say, she's fine Jen.....then I'd insist on going to the ped. and x-rays would

show aspiration pneumonia again. Grrrr. Of course, you'd love to be wrong

in this case, right? thats the catch 22, you want them to be right, for

's sake.....but you also don't want to be wrong.... Well, please

consider this.....you are likely very very right. Even if the chest x-ray is

fine....then prob. something is going on sinus wise. You know your kid

better than anyone else. I know weeks before anything is dramatically wrong

that something is going on. With , we asked for the CT scan on his

sinuses before he looked horrible, because the mommy in me knew what it'd

show...and b/c we knew it takes a month to get the dang thing scheduled.....

Anyway, I hope it goes ok, call me if you want if she gets admitted.....

I will tell you this about our doc....if he thinks you want admitted,

then he will admit her. IF he thinks you want to avoid it at all cost, then

he will try to help you do that. (at first, we HATED that mamsy pamsy type

lassaiz faire attitude, but we have grown to respect it in light of what some

other parents on the list deal with)

Hopefully, we won't be there tomorrow afternoon!!!!

Take care, and please when you get time, read my next post re: our

docs/nurses......

Jen
