Guest guest
What a day!!! I took to Knoxville today to see the pulm. She has had a month of ear and sinus infections and croup. She had also stopped eating. After talking to her ped. and the pulm. I was told to bring her on with the plan to stay in the hospital and probably start a tune-up. We got to Knoxville and the fun began. We had planned to have lunch with Jennie. I got out of the van to go around to get and the doors locked with my keys and inside. I ran inside the restaurant and found Jennie and she came out to help. A police officer drove up about that time and we got him to call for help. To make a long story short, we had a police cruiser, 2 fire trucks and finally a locksmith work on opening the van to get out. After 30+ minutes we freed her. If anyone is interested in a vehicle that will keep thieves out - the Pontiac Montana seems to be the thing. Everyone was very nice and Jennie did wonders to keep me from having a nervous breakdown on the spot. We finally made it to the drs. office and after a chest x-ray I was told we would do oral antibiotics and could go home. As we were leaving I was sent to get a sinus x-ray for and I do not know yet what the results were from that. None of my questions were answered about her loose stools, lack of appetite, etc. I am hoping a month of antibiotics will clear up the sinus infection but I do not know where that leaves me on the other. I must really be nuts because I still don't feel completely comfortable with things. I still feel like something more may be going on. She has only gained less than 1 pound since she was seen in November. That bothers me. I will just watch and see. Jennie- Thank you, thank you, thank you. You were wonderful today. I really appreciate your help. Tell my " cousin " Rex thanks also. BTW, I never have given you my phone # in case you should ever need to call . Well, it is time to go show my husband the scratch on the van from where we were trying to get into it. He is not too happy with me at the moment. Wish me luck. - exhausted mother of 21 month old triplets - andra (nocf), (wcf), and Charlie (nocf)
