The " profits " or value for the sponsoring entities are usually expressed

in terms of:

1. Net pre-tax income (for C corps)

2. Excess revenue over expense (for non-profits)

3. Programmatic revenue charge-ins from direct in-house revenues (for

facilities)

4. Real, perceived or estimated overall marketing value

It seems unreasonable that any Board or governing body would conduct an

activity as dangerous as this without some direct evidence of value -

although I'm sure that there are some examples of those, too.

im well aware of the factors that go in to play when considering air medical

transport. and i agree completely with everything everyone has said about the

over usage of the " birds " . the funny thing about the discussion is that when

you step back and look at it, everyone is saying the same thing, just in

different words... :-)
