Guest guest
And that's the first thing I thought about when I read that as well. I loved being a part of SRD and IRD that year and spending time with great people like , Willie Bird, and of course my beautiful dance partner Alberta Hushfield BUT having to dance on stage in Wranglers in front of that many people was NOT a highlight of my life. I was more nervous than I have ever been in my life and I do NOT want to EVER do that again. Normally I don't mind going on stage or speaking in front of a crowd. After all those years of public speaking I have never have a problem with it. BUT dancing?NO WAY! Not again. And I had to do it twice. I almost had to do it three times but (luckily?) I got a bad sunburn at IRD 2000 in San and didn't have to! The sunburn hurt BUT at least I didn't have to dance. That year I took off my shirt at the pool for the first time in years and my white skin was NOT prepared for the sun and BAM...worst sunburn EVER! I never did quite learn that dance and Alberta had to lead most of the time. Needless to say....I am not a slow dancer! LOL! I look forward to going on stage next year (oh no...I hope I still have my suit! LOL!) but I will NOT be waltzing. I will probably be running since it's been a LONG time since I've been on stage. :0) Re: grammy's in a funk Hey, - - - did you catch that " Waltz Across Texas " comment????? I don't know if anybody else remembers or not, but " I " remember when you waltzed across the SRD stage to that song??? Don't I????? Don't I????? Don't I????? I'm going to be looking forward to seeing you " Waltz Across the Stage " again next year when you pick up that Century Club Medallion!!! (((HUGS))) Clara EMAIL SUPPORT TEXAS-STYLE!! You may find yourself dancing onstage again one of these days!! (((HUGS))) Clara No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
