Tues. nite was the first night in several weeks that I went to a meeting. I sometimes have to retreat from things when I get overwhelmed. I think I'll be alright now. Just needed time and my group is really great about that. I am learning when to back off or it will get me in my "cave" my room. Please know that we care... and I'm sure that we can all relate to what you're going through, since we've all probably been there at one time or another. Since you've already got plenty of the 'kicks in the backside' that you requested, I'm just gonna send you an ((((encouraging hug)))). Before you go any further and continue to beat yourself up, sit down and write down all the things that are causing you to "feel sorry for yourself and depressed"... decide which ones are out of your control and which ones you can change. Cross the things that you can't change and ask God to take care of those for you. Highlight the things that you do have control over and tackle them one by one. If you've got an issue that you're not sure how to deal with... just ask our friends here. If the multitude of replies to your 'funk' post is indicative of the support that the Texas TOPS loop offers us, you'll surely get plenty of assistance.
