Guest guest
, We've painted our son's band two times. The first was with acrylic paint with clear sealer. It peeled off within a month. The second time my husband sprayed it with Rustoleum Primer for Plastic, then we had it painted with acrylics again. It's been almost 2 months and it still looks good. No peeling at all with this one. (FYI on the primer, don't get it on the inside of the band! Blow up a balloon inside the band, tape it off around the edges, spray lightly, and let it dry. It takes about 2 hours to fully dry - not the 40 minutes the can says). Good luck! Please post if you need more info. & Aidan in CT 13 months, doc band 7/21 --- In Plagiocephaly , " bkdkny7891 " <bill.kelly@w...> wrote: > > What is the best type of paint to use on the band ? Guest guest
We had three bands and I experimented and got better with each. Here is how I finally was able to use acrylics, no primer, no chipping. Three coeats of base paint, let each dry completely in between caots and if you use a hair dryer to speed it up, use on the cool setting. Paint the design, and then 3 coats of sealer, again let each dry completely in between coats. Good luck --- In Plagiocephaly , " bkdkny7891 " <bill.kelly@w...> wrote: > > What is the best type of paint to use on the band ?
