Guest guest
Hi all, I want to thank everyone for the input about Alycia's missing teeth. I am trying to be positive and consider this normal but I sure would feel better if I saw some little white nubs trying to push through instead of empty holes in her gums. I guess time will tell. Trish and Alice: Thank you for the input about running low temps in association with mito. I think it makes sense that people with mito would run low temps due to ineffecient energy production. That all for now. Lori

I thought those permanent teeth would never show!!!!!! In fact, she lost the two middle bottom, then the two middle top, then two more on the bottom, and another on the top before anything started to peek through. (And by " months " I literally mean nearly a year . . . about 10 or 11 months.) I think it will be okay for Alycia . . . but your dentist can tell for sure! Guest guest
If you are really concerned, you can get dental x-rays to make sure that all the necessary teeth are there. When Caitlin was losing teeth ahead of schedule and we realized that her bones were brittle, they did an x-ray to make sure that everything was where it was supposed to be. Also, try to remember that the reason that baby teeth fall out, is that the permanent teeth start coming in behind them and grind down the roots so that there is nothing to hold the baby tooth in any longer. If the tooth is knocked out, then there might be a question. But if the tooth comes out on it's own, and looks like a typical baby tooth, minus the root, then you probably have nothing to worry about. Guest guest
Hi Lori, I'm sorry, but I didn't catch the original post here, but I wanted to tell you about 's teeth. He lost one of his front teeth last year and it still hasn't come in. Neither have the ones on the bottom. They are all through, they just won't grow! Both the kids took forever (they were over a year old) before they even got any teeth. It's the same with the permenant ones. They are just very slow. I don't if that helps you or not, but I thought I'd share anyway. ) Take care...
