Guest guest
Well ! I found out, that if I can find a doctor to prescribe Armour for me, my insurance covers it. I had to give an example of what I would take - so I said 120mg twice/day. That cost would be $48.52. Now - I think.... that is for 3 months, but not sure - because I have to mail in my prescriptions and they are for a 3 month period. That could be a 1 month quote tho - Initially, tho, I have to pay more until I'm on a correct dose. so - I think I will also need to find a doctor who is willing to write for a higher dose than I initially need, for the playing room. anyway, there is one potential roadblock that I can remove!! now to remove the biggest!! and find a doctor! and - I think that even if that is a one month price, it is good. right? Guest guest
Hooray Cris, about your insurance!! Actually, Armour is quite cheap if you can get it by prescription (in the US), and I doubt the 48.52 would be a one month price. Ouch!! When I was on 2 grains, I was only paying about $13 a month. I'm on 3 grains now, but still using my one year 2 grain prescription, so I don't what it will cost. But I'm sure it will be good. Janie > Well ! Guest guest
Cris, I think the quickest way to find somebody who will give a script for Armour is to check with the pharmacy. I know the people who work at the local Walgreens I use and when I get my Atenolol for my bp in the next couple of days, I'm gonna hit up the pharmacist for that info. I know they can do it and since he calls me the birdlady, cuz I take a bird in there with me every now and then, he'll look it up for me. I think the constant appts with all these dr's is only making them richer and us more worn out! :-) I've ordered from myrxforless, but I'm sure going to see if I can find somebody with some intelligence in thyroid closer just in case I need it in the future.
