I have been meaning to write you, as I didn't realize you are a social worker and hoped that I hadn't offended you before with my ranting post about adoption, some of the policies, etc. It was more about how the system sometimes works in general, not to be against social workers themselves. But here you are, experiencing even more of the awful bureaucracy that people can be made to put up with. It's amazing how they think they can tell you what you are thinking, what you are feeling, how much time you need to grieve, and how you should be " consequenced " for some indecisiveness. I can't believe it. I hope you fight them and win. That is totally discriminatory and they are completely out of line. I would threaten them with an attorney, the American Civil Liberties Union, etc. But of course, they are still in control and on the other hand you can't affort to tick them off too much. It seems no matter which path we choose, we are always the victim. Good luck to you, keep fighting! You are in our prayers.
