Dang ,

I read your posts and they are always so similar to me. I was about to go

crazy with that startle reflex. My husband could close a cabinet door or cough

or something similar...and I'd startle so hard it would scare us both. But

get this, on the 3 grains...that has diminished.

I'm so conflicted about adrenal support. I think I may be a case where the

Armour is helping the adrenals and that I will be okay in time in that area.

But with the endo wanting me to drop back to 2 1/2 grains...well, that concerns

me. I'm not doing it until I see the Free levels.

It's just that I haven't felt this good in over 10 years...and I'm not

willing to give it up for a TSH number.

So am I Cindi. I have read that with proper thyroid treatment, that

the adrenals will come up along with the good feelings and reduction

of symptoms. On the other hand, what do I have to loose using the

adrenal support that I have already purchased. One of them is really

good. It's pure adrenal cortex in liquid form. You are supposed to put

10 drops under the tongue.

Boy, I just don't know what to do about this dosage issue. Your are

very similar to me with labs and diagnosis etc... I think your

antibodies are significant nonetheless. Mine were quite a bit higher

then that, but we all react differently. I was a complete worn out

basket case with my kids being 20 months apart, my first baby was HUGE

and it took mme a long time to recover (still have some problems from

that). He never slept and was very high strung (still is). My daughter

had colic too, but thank goodness for only 2 months. I never slept

more than 5 hours a night for 3 years (honestly). We also moved from

Houston to TN and that was nightmarish. I worked hard on the house and

took on an ebay business, so I may have caused my body to go haywire

lol. ANyway, I am so glad you are a few steps ahead of me. I can kinda

gauge myself by your progess. Thanks for that :).

With seriously low cortisol, that can't rise normally, the adrenal problem

usually becomes worse when bringing the metabolic rate up to where it is

supposed to be, as with proper treatment with Armour. Reason being, that when

the metabolic starts coming up to what should be normal for that person, poor

slow adrenal function can't keep up with the pace, so that person is going to

start having worse symptoms, even though they may be getting the appropriate amt

of thyroid hormone. That's why the adrenal exhaustion problem MUST be addressed

first, as the thyroid problem is being addressed. I believe that this is why it

has taken me around 7-8 months to bring my dosage from 30 mgs up to the 120 I'm

now on. It took forever, and although I haven't had adrenal testing and can't

prove it, I believe that this was the main issue, along with folic acid

deficiency.
