But, for me I feel that it is life and death. But, the family and friends

I

have, everything is about food. I don't even sit with my family at dinner,

which used to be the time we all rejoiced together after a hard day. I

usually just eat my chicken breast and salad in another room.

Phyllis,

Maybe I'm just reading into what you've said, but it seems to me that you

miss the family time more than the food you used to eat together... is there

a way you can re-join the family and still eat what you need to? Maybe you

could play games together after dinner-- we like to play cards -- and put

some salted almonds on the table, cheese cubes, etc. and have your diet soda

with it. Just a thought....

Well, of COURSE you were frustrated. It's very depressing to follow the

recommendations made by docs and dietitians, generally based on the ADA

exchange plan and have your BGs still be under poor control.

I'm so glad you're having success now...just keep working on it and pretty

soon your A1C will be right where you want it to be! Vicki

my mouth waters when thinking about a spinach salad with bacon ;-)

It's cheaper and waaaaay yummier! Less carbs, too.

What's making my mouth water is seeing " black raspberries and cream " ....

yum! I'm going to have to hit the farmer's market and see if they have any.

I haven't seen any in the grocery store. I've actually been going everyday

to be there the day they put fresh produce out.
