Guest guest
Hi . I was able to achieve my dd's correction thru aggressive repositioning. I noticed my dd's plagio at about 8 to 10 weeks of age. My pede told me I should try to keep her off that spot of her head but that I probably wouldn't be able to do it at night. A-ha! A challenge! So I went to it. I started looking things up on the internet and found this place and got a LOT of great repo advice from other members who had been there. It is a demanding task though. As you have already been told, it is something you have to pay attention to 24/7 in order to get any good results from it. You need to stretch your creativity in finding ways to keep you son off his flat spot during play time, car time, sleep time, every time. But as demanding as it is, it is also very rewarding when you see the change you are encouraging by keeping your son off his flat spot at all times. Please don't blindly believe anyone, even a doctor or specialist, who says that plagio will get better on its own. More often than not it doesn't. Wyatt's head is not going to fix itself without your help. Especially not with the tort as another issue. At his young age, you should be able to really do alot to encourage growth in the flat spot, but it is something that has to be done, not something you can just let happen. Please check out our Files section under Repositioning headquarters. You will find a wealth of information there. Take pictures of his head periodically at angles so that you can see the flat spot and evaluate any progress you are making thru repo. Good luck and let us know how things are going.
