Well, it's official. I'm not going to the trauma hospital.

(my therapist) called me a little while ago. I'm not going. She

said that the insurance will only commit to 3 days and she thinks it will be a

waste of time for me to go and get sent right back home and that it might

do more damage than good. She said since I don't need stabilization that I

should hold off and perhaps go another time if I ever get to that place

again. She also said that she was going to try to find me a support group for

people with DID or PTSD.

There is a reason for this, and hold on to you right now. I was never

hospitalized, but I went away for a 5 day codependence program. You are shut off

from the world in this program, to deal with so many things. It was a great

experience, but honestly I returned home to face what I hoped would be gone. A

support group is always there, and a constant in our lives. Keep working with

your therapist, and maybe give yourself a 3 day mental/health leave from life.
