Guest guest
I know the lambdoid sutures fuse when they are 2. I would assume that the head would be hardened at that time. I could be wrong, but at one year, I am not sure you will see a lot of results from repositionong since the child can move from one position to another easily. Unless your child has delays which keep them in the same position, you could probably relent and just move things around here-and-there. > > Does anyone know when a baby's head " hardens " ? i am obsessed with > repositioning my 1 month old, and i wanted to know how long until i > don't have to do it anymore. thank you for any info. Guest guest
Usually the head is pretty much set by age 2 but every child's sutures close at their own pace. Does your baby have plagio or are you just trying to prevent it? My first child had plagio so I really kept an eye on my 2nd baby but once she hit 3 months and her head was nice and round still, I let her position herself.
