Guest guest
MUSIC and LOTS of IT. Play it loud and sing along at the top of your lungs. Loud, joyful, foot stomping MUSIC. Don't play the sad stuff. It always works for me - so long as nobody can hear my dreadful singing!!! Dusty effects of stress I have had several stressful weeks and BOY has it done a job on my health. I've gotten numerous migraines along with shoulder and neck tension so bad I'm stiff and feel like I'm 80 in the morning. My vulvar area isn't much better, I've really been burning. I went by myself with my 2 kids 8 and 2 1/2 on a plane to visit my sister DUH!!!Hit me over the head with a brick the next time I think of doing that. My 8 yr. old son is A.D.H.D. along with a bunch of other alphabet soup " labels " and I'm also dealing with that and my husband going to 3, 12 hour days plus the regular hours he works blah de blah de blah (or is it ya da ya da ya da ???). I know stress effects other people I was wondering how you get rid of it? thanks, Sue *****END OF MESSAGE***** ------------------------------------------------- Yahoo members can click on: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VulvarDisorders On the left side is a listing including Links and Files . Guest guest
In answer to your question, about the effects of stress and how to deal with it...I did not deal with mine when I was working 12-14 hour days and I ended up with a meangioma brain tumor. Now that I am on this list, I see that it is MOST important to eat correctly. If nothing else I have learned that you are indeed what you eat. After the brain surgery, I did TONS of research on the effects of stress on the body...and one of the most significant is that it increases certain hormones which make you crave carbohydrates and BAD food. My advice to you is DO NOT GIVE IN!!! Especially if you are gluten intoloerant like we are. I now know from reading the posts that gluten creats the gooey gummy firbrous fluids in our body and that is exactly what a menangioma brain tumor is made of. I am now have to wonder if my being gluten sensitive and eating HIGH STRESS foods caused the brain tumor.
