I've often wondered if it was genetic and to date most researcher say " It could be and it could not be " .... which doesn't do much for a person who wants to forwarn their children. 600+ kids to do research on is a nice large group. I do hope they can pull together the findings in the next few years. How long has your mom been affected by IBM? Do you remember me talking about Harriett, the gal that is trying to put together all the kids with JDM/PM so they can get money for research? Her grand daughter has JDM but the interesting thing is that 's other grand mother has IBM. I think they will find a genetic link between these diseases. I also think that they will find a gene that will predispose you to a faulty immune system. Thank you for sharing that info... it's all so interesting to me.
