Guest guest
, I am really sorry to hear about 's culture. I don't get the insurance paying for an injectable form of tobra and not TOBI, TOBI is the only inhaled antibiotic that is FDA approved. I don't know how to convince them she really needs TOBI, Jen?????? any hints? I don't know what else to say but I have heard a lot of people do go straight to IV's as soon as the child's culture shows pseudo. As cultured it around 14 yrs ago, things were different and now the thinking has changed. Well I have to be going , to make you all jealous, I am going for a massage and a chiropractor treatment,. then to my water exercise class. Yesterday I joined a self-help class for fibromyalgia and later today I have an appt with my regular doc. is due home Monday! We survived!! sending love and positive thoughts,
Guest guest
Hi , major bummer for you! Hopefully the Tobra will work for Meagan and fight nails and toes to give it for an extended period of time. You know, that you only have to do a medline cross search for Pseudomonas AND Hoiby and you'll have plenty of arguments for agressive treatment. I think state of the art in Denmark now is, to begin with the combo of oral Cipro and inhaled Colistin (despite of the preservatives) for at least three months and to alternate between Colistin and Tobra thereafter to prevent resistance. Have you asked, whether the pseudo is mucoid or not? Hope you get rid of that bug soon and see an improvement in Meagan. It's heartwarming to see, how caring Kailin is about her sister, despite of her own health problems. My well-wishes go out to your family! Bye-bye Torsten
