I went to my first support group meeting on Wednesday. I met Dawn and Ralph there, and then met and her husband, as well as a few others. I recognized Phil's face from the web site, but didn't have the nerve to go and talk to him. (Hi Phil!!). I had hoped you would be there so I could meet you face to face, but I forgot that you were going away. Maybe next time. I asked a few questions (I think maybe some of them were pretty dumb) but all in all, it was very informative and I can't wait for the next meeting somewhere. Where is the next meeting in this area?? Anyway, just wanted to tell you that I am happy that you are back and I hope you do good with the vision improvement. Massive weight loss AND new eyes?? You are a whole new person!!! My dh has been a TOTAL sweetheart putting all my medicated drops into my eyes for me (I hate doing it). He stayed with me during the procedure and watched it being performed on a monitor. Also yesterday was my 1 yr post op anniversary. I can't believe the changes in the last year .. I have no regrets and it was the best thing I could ever have done for myself. I had the option of doing one eye and having the 2nd done later on but I wanted to get it over with. It wasn't that uncomfortable but my heart was pounding thats for sure. DH stayed by my side and it went well ..I never thought I would do it either but it was part of the 'new' me package I wanted lol. I have worn them for about 40 years (now bi-focals) but I am still too wimpy to even consider surgery (even if I could afford it). Good for you!! You are planning a boob job? It's normal to not feel hungry, but VERY important to drink your liquids, including a bouillon or 2 per day to keep the "dizzies" away! You may want to consider either Crystal Light, or some other form of non-caloric, no sugar, drink. Wait til you eat that egg! It'll taste like a piece of Sirloin! Good luck! I enjoy pulling pranks on people as well, but have toned down a lot this year. I've actually become BORING. Hope you keep feeling better, Zanna. I felt better over the weekend and made it to church ( where folks asked me how I was and said I looked GREAT and would I help out in the soup kitchen, or the food pantry, perhaps, and come back to choir? ugh........) I do miss some of those activities, but please, don't bombard me. And, I now seem to have developed an infection stemming from that nasty cold- started in yesterday and feel miserable, but still trying to do the errands and all as best I can. I think it's my sinuses, but could be chest. I don't really care. Today is my son's 17th birthday and I had to go out to buy and mixer to make his birthday cake, as I'd forgotten I'd thrown the old one out, and didn't feel like beating it by hand. I had a bunch of people here the Sunday before last for a big combo birthday celebration/family gathering. It turned out fine, but of course I overdid. Now I have Christmas to look forward to. Halloween- we don't celebrate it. Oh, we did a bit of trick or treating when the kids were small, but they never seemed to like it! Do I have strange kids? Just as well, as far as I'm concerned.
