Guest guest
Dear new members, Welcome to all the new members. It is nice to have a place to find out things that doctors either forget to tell you or just don't think is important. I have learned more from this wonderful group than I ever learned from the doctors. I have learned to be my daughters advocate and now I always request my own set of MRI's whenever they are needed. Having the written report of any findings or surgeries is also helpful when we have to deal with going to California and non Kaiser doctors. your trip sounds almost like our vacation from hell. One year we were driving to California and our car died on the way home back to Colorado. We spent an extra week in Barstow and I hate the desert! We waited all that time while they were fixing our car and we ended up selling it to the mechanic there anyway. My husband had to get a bus to Las Vegas and rent a car for us to drive back to Denver. I can't recall if I told you all but my husband quit his job as mailman. I couldn't believe with only one year left to retire he did this to us. I think it was taking its toll on his health. He found a new job working for Frontier Airlines and so now when we have to go to HEI in Los Angeles we can fly for free. Tom, Karina and I can fly for free to any destination Frontier flies into. Since we seem to spend so much time going to Calif. this will help. I never realized that so many of you have such terrible pain. Karina still has her painful headaches but they aren't as often as they were. Her pain is usually on one side of the head. It is on the paralyzed side and I wonder if this is feeling and sensation coming back? Again welcome to all the new members! in Colorado (under a flash flood warning)
Guest guest
Hi ...isn't is funny how things will work out and we get the things we need rather than want?? I hope your trips are made much easier with the flights. Hugs, Carol Larnard- wrote: I can't recall if I told you all but my husband quit his job as mailman.
